2004 John Deere 1790 12/23 with 20,000 total acres. Two seasons on SeedStar-2 system (we operated with G5). Two seasons on the Martin-Till 1360 shark-tooth floating row cleaners with side treader wheels & easy cam adjustment. Two seasons on the main openers. Four seasons on the Copperhead Furrow Cruiser closing wheels. Five seasons on section control (we operated with 2630, then 4640, then G5). Eight seasons on the Kinze mainframe tires with split-row relief tread to reduce compaction. Twelve years on the Smart-Box insecticide boxes but only used for non-GMO a couple of seasons after installing. Precision eSet meters on the main units. Independent &/or automatic markers (markers have lighter use because of autotrac). Transmission drive. John Deere no-till coulters. Heavy-Duty down pressure springs with additional force on the split-row mainframe wheel rows. Corn & soybean vacuum plates. Currently using 4 SCV’s to operate this planter but can be operated with only 2 SCV’s. Currently has the standard rephasing valves installed but also have the low-pressure rephasing valves for older John Deere & competitor tractors. Always inspected postseason & stored inside.
