Eastern ON | You've got the only right explanation on here. Wallstreetbets is a subreddit on reddit.com who love posts about gains and losses on the market (more so losses). Imagine if this forum had a million users and we picked a stock to "manipulate". Robinhood has really changed the game. Alot made money on Tesla and doing options but recently the old money on wallstreet has taken notice and is annoyed, imagine everyday people making money on the stock market without paying broker management fees!
They went to war with Citron after they tried shorting Palantir. This time it's them vs hedgefunds on GameStop. Someone realized how bad some of the shorts were against GameStop. It's turned into an "us vs them". These companies still haven't realized this generations "portfolio" will be on an app on our phone and their jobs and years of stock manipulation are over. | |
