Thoughts from somebody who owned a really, really nice 6788 for a while.  (Sometimes wish I still had it.)   The TA, clutch, MCV job is not necessarily terrible or beyond the reach of shade tree mechanics.  Splitting the 2+2 to do the work is going to require more time and effort than doing, say, a 1066 though.
