Subject: RE: Ford Ranger Towing Gooseneck

Huntley Montana

I don't think "flat landers " understand what mountain's are.  When you have 3-5 miles of 5-7% grade, you want a REAL TRUCK in front of a load. Up hill or down.   Why would any sane person want to destroy  a OVERPRICED pickup, when good used semis can be had for less than $10,000.

I don't have a "ego problem" , As I get older, I just prefer to arrive safe.    When I was younger I pulled a combine 650 miles home on a combine trailer,,,,,, behind a 1 ton dually.  The "tail wanted to wag the dog" if I got close to 50mph.  I hauled a 9120T CIH on the same road last winter on a semi remembering that "other trip" about 30 odd years earlier.

I have a couple car trailers for light loads... If I need more I'll take a REAL truck.
