Gibson makes headers that fit Ford Rangers. $400, gives you at least 3-5 more mph. I've heard people say it'll turn a Ranger into a Marine (that's a joke).

Also, look at swapping out the rear end gears. You probably have 3.55 now. Drop some 4.30's in it and it'll pull the doors off of a moderately framed door.

Maybe update the spark plugs and use a K&N Air Filter. Gobs gobs more power. Gobs.

Flip the top of the air cleaner upside down. That allow it to breath like the dragon that it is. Air = power.

Run premium gas. That'll add between a 1/3 to maybe a 1/2 more Gob.

One other option, and call me stupid, is borrow a truck from someone. Nah...

Thanks for the tips. I wasn't quite expecting the backlash about this, like I said, its a capable truck. My truck has 3.73 gears, the biggest offered for the Ranger is 4.10 I've changed out a rear end before, but I imagine the front end has to be the same gears but I've heard its quite a bit more difficult than changing out a rear end. Is that true?
