When I was young & foolish I used goosenecks.  I Almost refuse to own 1 today.  Electric brakes are worse than NO BRAKES. They can quit you with NO WARNING.

You will tear up the 1 ton pulling them, why would you want a "roller skate" in front of it.  Best thing I ever did was buy a semi for moving machinery. 

What will you drive if you destroy your driver?  That is if your lucky & live through the wreck.




Does your house have extra wide doors to fit your ego in? Goosenecks are fine when used within reason. I chomp at the bit to get my semi off the road so I can lower my insurance. I use the pickup nearly daily and the gooseneck is cheap to cover so I don't bat an eye at insuring them.
