Subject: RE: cut first crop milo

We cut our milo a couple of weeks ago. We missed the rains all summer, until about 2 weeks before harvest. Yields were from 20-40, best I have heard is around 50. Test weight from 52-57, moisture from 12-17. This was planted late April to Mid-May. Milo planted first to mid June has turned back to green with new tillers and suckers. There is anything from probably 18% moisture grain to still flowering, side by side. It could be ok if there is enough time to fill, and the ripe plants don't fall over.
