| During the summer we have a chance of rain at least a third of the time and often a 30% chance of rain is just as good as an 80% chance. Outside of an extremely dry year I'd say 70% of our hay gets put up with a rain less than 24 hours after baling and alot of the time it's less than 12 hours. A good weather forcaster helps (I've found NOAA to be as good as anybody) but when your dealing with margins that are often only a few hours even the best forcaster will leave you with some wet hay sooner or later. | |
