You forgot one term, Direct Seeding. The no-till/min-till guys in the Pacific NW have a Direct Seed association, http://www.directseed.org/. I think most of these guys are dryland wheat/pulse crop growers east of the Cascades, and I know some are from Oregon. I think you are in Willamette Valley aren't you?
High priced diesel is going to make a lot more ground pounders think about no-till or at least min-till.
