Beresford SD | I am also a crop adjuster and always tell other farmers to leave a strip the same row width as there combine head width. They then have the right to have appraisal done with the actual harvested grain from the strip if they do not agree with the adjusters appraisal. They then do have to take that appraisal . The adjuster also has to be there when combining and the farmer must have a grain cart w/scale , weigh wagon or haul over approved scale.
As for the adjuster not being able to get you an appraisal in a timely fashion talk to your agent. Unless they are over whelmed with claims in your area they should be able to accommodate you. You may want to consider a different company for your crop insurance for the next year. | |
