Dodge Co, Wi | Test weight is just density, end users have grown up with the standard density as defined in the grading manuals of today, nothing wrong with that. To the point of premium for better than normal density, just think of it as more mass per volume and as such it technically is a premium, also space saving for on farm storage. Up here in Canada the bushel has gone the way of the mile, gallon, oz; when grain is concerned. Grain is sold by Megagrams(tonne/metric ton whatever you want to call it, 2204.6#), I can see us eventually (sooner than you guys south of the 49th) moving to the mass per area measurement of yield like Europe, mind you it will take longer than that to switch from acres to hectares, that'd be the last straw ;)
