Martinsville, Ohio
Bess and Truman looked good here but did not win any trials. Don't know what Lazer is. 25R47 still hard to beat here, replaced Certified Hopewell for us. Bravo still a good early wheat.

Have a friend who raises several hundred acres of SRWW each year and he had test weights of 60-62 lbs coming out of a stripper head at high moisture. Think what that will be dried down! Think what it is because it is dried down now of course, millers will be after that stuff...

Looks like good demand for wheat in the coming marketing year which should increase acres here and take a little pressure off corn and beans. We like wheat for the rotation benefits and we need to fix a lot of tiles, do some land planing and preparation, good straw market that might get tested next summer.

My friend planted Oregon Ryegrass in a field that was half wheat and half soybeans. Guess which did best?

He said the ryegrass stand was about double behind the wheat vs. the soybeans...

Got a complaint on some of these websites, especially Ohio's, you can't read the fancy font unless you print off the data...
