Subject: RR/Bt/Stacked corn silage

Have any of you been using a RR/Bt and/or stacked corn for silage? The stalks seem to be pretty tough. Is the silage palatable to beef cattle?

I am looking at trying some continuous corn chopped and bagged as part of a beef ration with hay. I want to over winter and maybe finish out some calves with some good silage.

From the RR corn discussion below it seems like volunteer RR corn would not be a problem in a continuous corn plan.

Thanks.
