LaForge, MO | Just counted. There are 11 seed reps living in this three county area. Ain't no way I'm going to sit down with even half of them. Want my business? Give me 36 bags each of your two best hybrids. I will plant it side by side with my current favorites on various places I farm to give it equal chances on all soil types and conditions. If it is equal to or less than what I currently plant, no dice, try again later when you have something. If you are better than, then next year I will buy the seed and do it again. Don't ask me to do a test plot. A plot only tells you what that hybrid did in that place in the field that one year. I will try any hybrid in the state regional (three) trials that are in the top or no significant difference from the top hybrid. | |
