Just lock up your flex cutterbar like for cutting wheat and get some milo guards. Milo guards bolt on with the knife guards. They have 3 rods pointing forward with an upward hook. At the end of the hooked part there are 2 wires each going back over the sickle. The stalk is cut by the sickle and the heads fall onto the wires so the reel can push them in the head. Simple and they work.
