| Drove from MN to Wichita, KS yesterday and from the road things looked fair to excellent from sothern MN to Kansas City.
Some spots better than others but over all looked pretty good. I know that looks don't yeild but it what I saw. South of KC
the cropps looked more stressed. Some of the corn had been harvested for silage already, I thought it was early for that
but not really sure here.
I did see a feild of what appeared to be skip row beans. I have heard of skip row corn in western KS but not beans. This was
around Ottowa KS. They had a pattern of x-xx-xx-xx-x in 30" rows. Does anybody know what they might have been that way for? I thought
at first that maybe it would be for spraying but it didn't make sense to have a skip every other one for that.
