Driftless SW Wisconsin
I believe the DB left wing is just following the ground. It is a 3-section bar and a hilly area of SE MN. Actually somewhat amazing that this customer can use a 60 ft 24R30 strip till bar and planter in this area but the Cat 55 and DB handle it well. A good operator helps. It is amazing to see him back into corners. They don't waste a square foot but do have grass waterways and are very conservation minded.

One thing about reducing fertilizer rates is that there is less to runoff. What is in the strip gets used. The loose soil particle give plenty of loose moist soil surface area for the fertilizer to latch on to.

The 24 row on the DB does NOT have the hydraulic down pressure. It has our standard spring package. The Pluribus row unit weighs about 550 lb per row. This gets into the ground in most spring conditions. In the fall the spring assist helps.

The DB is a very nice bar. I was surprised at the ability to add about 9000 lb of fertilizer in the Gandy box directly on the frame. This makes it much more maneuverable than pulling a trailer.

This customer did a very nice job on this setup. His crop looks very good.

Thanks for the kind words. His strips did look excellent.
