| I've never counted it, but the density varies, I'd say we average more than 30 stalks on an area the size of a football field.
Hard to say if it would damage the sample enough to get a fm discount. Landlords sure don't like it, especially after trying to talk them into the rr program so the fields could be cleaned up easily.
I'm not against rr corn, I just can't afford to spend that much to clean it up the next year and in this area Monsanto has the tech fee priced so that it uses up most of any saving you get in the current year. Even if you save $5 per acre this year it doesn't pencil when it cost you $10 more next year. | |
