| Sometimes a son or daughter takes advantage of an elderly parent, but that is not the norm. If your uncle takes care of his mother through a long period of declining health and deals with the issues that surround it while you are free to seek the normal things in life that most people take for granted, giving the uncle a break on the rent could be a huge bargin for you and the rest of the family. When all is said and done, this deal might not be fair to the uncle. It's hard for me to say without knowing the details. I'm just trying to point out other things that might be involved. Life is not always fair, and sometimes no amount of money will buy the things needed to make life fair. Life is also short, too short to spend it worring about it not being fair. | |
