Center of IL | More than likely Grandma knows what rents are and is giving your uncle a break. My grandfather sold my dad half his farm for about half what it was worth when my dad just wanted to buy 5 acres to build a house on. When he passed on the other kids found out and were upset but it really wasn't my dads doing. My dad had to pay 3 times what he gave for the other half(going price then). No one offered a refund when the land price collapsed a few years later. My old grandpa knew what he was doing and probably saved the farm. God bless him and God bless the Grandma in this case too.
