Not that far from here they have looked at switchgrass. If they want quality not tonnage, they cut several times a year. Remember cut high, and leave enough to grow taller before winter. It is in fact a prairie grass and must be managed like one.
For tonnage one cutting is better. this would be for a bio type fuel.
