Little River, TX
If we had the moisture, here we could plant alfalfa following alfalfa. As a matter of fact a number of times I have allowed volenteer alfalfa to thicken a stand. I believe the work about alfalfa killiing it's own seedlings is an Eastern deal not in our hot dry summers of CenTex. There are other growers who replant alfafla right behind old stand alfalfa. Again these are Western growers not eastern farmers.
