Driftless SW Wisconsin | Ron as I read the results, there was a significant increase in corn yield ON LOW P TESTING SOILS when 100 lb was broadcast compared to 50 lb in a strip. If the soils were low in P to begin with this says that maybe 50 lb in the strip was not enough.
Another interesting little bit in the data was the comment that in 2002 there was a greater response to shallower P than deep P. I think the tests were probably carefully done however I think it is difficult to sort out all the variables. Please note who sponsored the tests.
