I've been doing that for over32 years with SRW wheat here in Ohio. I buy 25 bags new seed to plant and save the following year (if it's better, otherwise I save the old seed over another year). Your saved seed is just as good or better than bought seed, I have mine cleaned and treated too. Store it right for seed (no high heat drying) and you'll be just fine. Don't save hybrid wheat though.
