Was told by a manager of a prominent ag supply coop in NC MO that some guys have been in continuous beans for 10-15 years. Why? He says laziness. Don't want to haul a bunch of corn to the elevator, much easier to haul 40 bu/ac than 120 bu/ac, plus you don't have to store and dry the beans like you do corn. He said in his county that there were 3 times as many soy acres as corn acres. Manager spoke of a field that had to be sprayed 5 times so far for giant ragweed, and the ragweed is not completely dead. Glyphosate and ALS resistant (FirstRate didn't hardly phase it, even with two passes at 0.33 oz and 1 oz/ac rates). So Roy@ranch and Larkin, what the heck is going on there?
