Newfane NY | We use a Great Plains drill and plant from 200 to 250 acres. All of our soybeans are planted with the drill. The peas that are bypassed come under a Birdseye program that should pay me minus the harvesting costs. It just bugs me that as a farmer we try and do the best job we can then someone says....whoops you did too good of a job and got the yield to high. We only want this much. They are making a fine cover crop now. The pea ground will have snap beans planted between now and Aug 1st. so if all goes good we will get 2 crops off the same acre. John | |
