| All the discing and field cultivating these guys are talking about to kill the rye would just recompact the wet gumbo. No way I could let the rye get 24-48" tall and get rid of it to raise a crop.This ground plants the best just the way mother nature leaves it after winter and any field tillage trips just compact it. As a matter of fact, we have trouble with sidewall compaction from the planter restricting the roots. that's what I really need to address, that and shallow roots. | |
