Callao, Missouri | Well, it's clear to me that you and my fertilizer salesman don't see eye to eye...lol.
I have always felt like it might of been a little excessive as well, but have been going by the 1.2N to 1bu rule, to shoot for corn around 175bu/acre (have to include N from MAP, bean credit). NH3 did have N-Serve, and the 32% did have Agrotain, for what it's worth. It looks to me like 27k pop is plenty, I can hardly walk through the field, and crossing rows is quite a chore. I don't think that I would feel comfortable going much higher in pop, and would think that would make my extreme height/possible lodging problems worse.
What do you recommend?
