Little River, TX | The way I read it agrotrain has little positive effect on UAN.
That said I have good productivity using surface applied UAN when the gound is dry, and it is put out in a band.
The key is each university does work that applies to the conditions on their soil, and their climate. Here in Central Texas UAN, (32%) is a popular top dress fertilizer on wheat, oats and pastures. Their magic potion is something I had not heard of, though it may be more popular in a more humid climate and on more sandy soils.
In case you have not heard, I like to apply a full years supply of nitrogen in December or January using 400 lbs/A of anhydrous ammonia. Then my clay soil is a sponge for cation's. | |
