Urbandale Ia, (but originally from SE IA) | Does anybody remeber the catchy raio ads NC+ was running before they got bought up?
It was some kind of conversation between a farmer and his wife about their poor neighbor's plight of having his seed company bought out by a big pharmecuetical company. It was a pretty funny ad, they were really making fun of the companies that had been bought out, and were bragging about being "farmer owned" and independent.
A few weeks later it was announced that they were bought out, that was pretty "Funky" (ok, I apologize for that one!).
It just goes to show, never say never. Whats the old saying about being careful about what you say about the competition, because tommorrow you might be working for them?
I don't currently plant any Wyfells, have off & on in the past. No particular reason, good corn, just a matter of who calls on me. Anyway, I'd agree with what you say about the company and I would be dissapointed if they were to sell.
