Brazilton KS | Rate and rainfall are determining factors. We've planted lots of acres of non-STS beans behind 1/10th oz of Finesse with no problems, but we probably have nearly twice your rainfall. "Here" I firmly believe those who plant earlier beans doublecrop are shooting themselves in the proverbial foot.....I would go at least 5.5 and probably 5.7 or 5.9 if possible. You are already cutting the season short on the front side, no future in cutting it short on the backside also by planting an early maturing variety. You're at higher altitude and different rainfall so our eastern KS experience is probably only marginally helpfull at best. |
