Subject: Weedy Tilled Ground Beans-Clean no-till-Picture

Macon, IL

Check out the attached picture.

Just to do a side by side compairson on w passes with field cultivator vs no-till I tilled about a 30ft wide strip through my field. Ground was worked a week prior to planting, roundup was sprayed 2 days prior to planting-all was planted on the same day.

It is amazing, the field is pretty darn clean EXCEPT the worked piece. Won't know until the yeild monitor tells the story this fall of the difference but at this point I am sure liking the no-till better. Can't tell a difference in the beans themselves yet.   I expected the no-till beans to lag behind but they haven't at all.  Have a field next to mine that was full tillage-planted same day-no-tills are keeping right up with them.
