Southeastern Kansas | Finished late Friday night. Overall wheat yields better than expected and better than average. Best yields came from wet mucky land that usually drowns out from too much water. Poorest yield on notill corn stalks, lots less tillers compared to later planting into bean stalks. About decided we had no disease issues just too dry all winter and into april thus the reduced tiller count. Sometimes when it is dry out west we are better suited for wheat yields in our area because we tend to be drier too. There is lots of wheat in our country but nothing to compare to out west of course. If this price stays up, who know how much wheat we can plant in eastern Kansas.
