I won't get into a discussion on these units. It is interesting that you bring Brian's units up. We've had 3 customers I can think of sell Pluribus units for one reason or another in the past couple years. All that I am aware of brought a good price and found a ready buyer. Strip till is NOT for every one or every operation. As Brian has posted, it does take more "management" than some other systems. Some folks are into management, others are not. One fellow left farming due to family reasons, there are others.

I believe one of the main reasons Brian's 24 rows are for sale is the used toolbar they are mounted to...Brian's units will find a good home, but hopefully on another toolbar. Note that Brian is also selling another brand of 12R30 shank type strip till machine they used last year.

On the other hand another 24 R 30 60 ft MN customer had excellent results with his setup on a new JD/Bauer bar. And planting into rows that don't look like they were planted with an accordion.

Here are 2 photos of some strip till done with the 24 rows that are for sale. Here is another photo of a 24 R 30 on a Bauer bar elsewhere in S MN and a third photo of Iowa Pluribus spring strip tilled corn on corn being side dressed a couple weeks ago. This customer is on his second year. Both of these customers have personally told me they feel they are getting an excellent return on their strip till investment. I will add two more photos from a customer just west of Brian (not Greywolf) in some similar soils and residue. I think a very good sign is when a strip till customer's neighbors start calling for information because the strip tillers crops "look good".

Don this may NOT be a good system for you or MO. Have you tried any strip till? Maybe the mole knife type program as notillr uses might be worth a try for you.
