Thanks for the reply Marc.

I have a large concrete pad (pre-tornado former site of machine shed), I thought that if we put down plastic on that, augered into a pile, and then covered that with plastic, we would be alright. So that won't work, eh? I'm always a sucker for the cheap way. I was planning on scooping it back up with the tractor or skid steer.
What type of cone bottom bins are you referring to? I assume these must be plastic or stainless? I've got a bunch of old feed bulk-bins around here, but none in good enough shape to even store feed...lol.

I got price qoutes from the river today....sheesh! It looks to me like it would definately be worth my time to handle my own fertilizer. How about storage for liquid 32/28%? I suppose regular steel tanks are a no-no there as well.
