Edgeley, ND | Just goes to show how it's about GDU's not the calendar. We read so many posts about being in a hurry cuz it's getting late but if the ground isn't ready. Last year I planted corn on May 17 for my son across the section line from some corn planted April 12 and they emerged the same time. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be early but we got 10 inches of snow on Friday with more on the way this week. I have heard some seed peddlers claim that if the seed lays in the ground too long it will lose some of it's vigor. | |
