I don't know about pheasants, but I always inject 10 cc of turpentine in each bag where I 0-till and it keeps mice from eating the seed. I do know that it didn't work for turkeys, they scratched and found it anyway. Like a couple of other posts, I scatter piles of corn around the outside of the area. But don't think that you can do that just once and forget about it, you need to do that until the corn is up and about the second collar stage.
