farmgirl - 10/29/2026 17:48 I have been in your exact situation. I don’t know why anyone would put you on a Walker. Crutches allow you to keep the injured foot off the ground totally. Hopefully you aren’t too clumsey to use them. And as easy as it is, a knee Walker should be avoided at all cost in my opinion. I have bursitis in my hip from use of a knee Walker and I know of a gentleman that had the same experience. Good luck!
I was diagnosed with hip bursitis and hip flexor pain. I found a YouTube channel focused on rehabilitation for older adults. Walking backward—especially uphill—helped strengthen my posterior muscles and greatly reduce my bursitis pain. Sit-to-stands from a 22-inch-high seat have also been remarkably helpful for me at 6'4".Alyssa Kuhn, Arthritis Adventures https://youtube.com/@arthritisadventure?si=mtDwZ-lfRoxogljQ
