South Central NE | Our minds are made up far in advance and yard signs and tv or radio ads aren't going to sway us. We pay little to no attention to political ads. I get texts and calls but just delete the texts and don't answer the calls. Very simple really. And I always wonder if the calls, texts or ads are a problem for people in Russia or China? I will put up with a little minor inconvenience to have elections. The medicare scams bother me much more than the political stuff because they actually prey on people who can be scammed out of their money.
Wife had an older lady knock on the door yesterday. She was out knocking on doors for a US senate candidate. She got very upset when my wife wouldn't tell her who she had voted for. My wife told her that was private information and she wouldn't tell her.
Many years ago we started voting early to teach our kids how to vote which worked because they all still participate. We kept doing it because it was easy and we could investigate a candidate or issue at our leisure. Works for us. | |
