Idk, i was darn lucky to have crop insurance my first year farming out of high school because i got hailed out and only had 10 bushel/acre soybeans of 80 acres with no supplemental hail insurance. 2019 and 2020 it paid out again with how sh*tty of a year that was thanks to mother nature. And i was only farming an 80 and a quarter at that time. So to say it only benefits the BTOs and not a small farmer is a complete lie. But i suppose it doesn't matter, since farming in ND is nothing but a complete crop insurance fraud and we should return to buffalo and teepees and let the real farmers east of the Mississippi do all the work.
How do the BTO's get 25-35,000 acres?
