I know where there are billboards advertising ******* Family Farms. You are correct, they pay good and it snowballs and that billboard with all the kids standing in front of the combine sucks in a lot of deer hunter/ absentee owners that just want top dollar. Factor in crop insurance, and affiliation with Illinois Family Farms and outbidding locals is no big deal. For those not in the know, Illinois Family Farms mandates that they increase in size and volume every year. So there ya go, that's how it happens
