Crop insurance didn't make BTO's happen but it absolutely has helped make it possible for the high $ cash rent BTO's to expand basically unrestrained.
Without crop insurance most of those guys wouldn't be able to get a line of credit anywhere close to being able to rent/farm the acres that they do.
How do the BTO's get 25-35,000 acres?
