There is no doubt you can do it especially with a cheerleader for a lender, but those are getting scarce. Also ending up with millions of debt chasing you around could be an issue. I'm not sure what the motivation is unless you find an area with uncharacteristically low rents (not $300+ but $150 on 200 bpa ground). I can't imagine many of those places exist.
Getting your pic on a magazine cover isn't all it's cracked up to be.
On the other hand, families that have pushed land to future generations for generations seem to do well, but that takes a lot of discipline.
How do the BTO's get 25-35,000 acres?
