That's an excellent solution for that random of use. Heck, I'd even consider a non vented propane heater if it was only for 12 hours a year. Or a pellet or corn stove if you'd appreciated it rather than hate the extra work, vs if you already have propane tank/plumbing to the hoouse, or 100# tanks you can fill from the dryer tank, etc.
