NW Kansas - Graham County | I am 60, as well. I walked away from the farm several years ago and moved to a city several hours away. Retired at 55 and have been traveling – about 5 months a year. Spend most winters in Arizona and a month in late summer somewhere cool. Farm was in a very rural area with declining population. No kids and no one interested in the farm. I sold the farmstead, but kept the majority of the land and rent it out.
Sure, I miss it sometimes. And there are the boring days. Every situation is different. Good luck!
