Northern Illinois | I am in the same situation. 2 daughters with no nieces or nephews who farm. I am the last line in a long line of farmers. Father has passed and mother has repeatedly told me if I wanted to sell my land and what I will at some point inherit to do it. My father while a lifelong farmer said money is easier to split than land.
Farm is currently rented as I retired a year ago. I believe that if/when we get another leg up I will cash out. I have a round number in mind. | |
