We had $14,465 in 12 transaction in less than 15 minutes and it took over 9 weeks to get the CC company
to take it off. Had many calls to them then the last one said that it was just sitting there in the back in a pile.
We asked if it was an inside job. We just got our bill for last month and the charged $98 interest. Phoned and they took it off.
Was told that they put $1 on then a big sum and different every time and that how they got it. Its like when
you go to the pump and put down a total and when t you are done, the amount will come off the CC. Even when someone
is checking your credit they use $1 on the CC to check.
I check my credit card and bank balance every day and write down every purchase in a ledger. (Have a debit card on the checking account but haven't used it for quite some time.)
When Casey's installed new fuel pumps, they put a seperate $1 charge on my credit card for every fuel purchase (pay at the pump, don't know about in store fuel purchases). The $1 charge is not taken off my account until a couple days after the fuel charge goes from "pending" into the "posted" category. The first time it happened, I went back in and spoke to the "clerk", he may be the manager, no one is ever in the office so I don't know who the manager is anymore. Pizza pickup is the only time I go into the store, no $1 charge for that.
Clerk didn't know anything about the $1 fuel charge. |
