SW OH | I'm waiting on my new card now. It's attached to a checking account and used for auto bill pay and internet purchases. I never keep more than $100 more than I expect to spend in that account and it does not have overdraft protection.
Well about 10 days ago I get a text from my bank over a suspicious $488 dollar charge to Walmart in another state. I don't shop at Walmart or in that state so that made it suspicious. I texted back "no" right away and that locked my account. Before that there was a $21 dollar charge to Pizza place in town. That was the test purchase. It went through without any trouble because it looked legit. Meanwhile this card has never left my house and never been seen by anyone but me. But it's been used on the internet.
