nw ohio | I have had fraudulent charges on my card twice within one year and had to get a new card each time. It’s a real pain since I have several accounts set up to auto pay with the card.
I have since found out that if you have a capital one card, you can use virtual numbers online so you never give out the real card number. I have the auto pay accounts set up with their own virtual number, so if I get a fraudulent charge I can just delete that virtual number and get a new one.
Also, if you have an iPhone (I don’t know about other brands) you can add your cards to the wallet. When you use tap to pay in a store with your phone, it will use a unique number each time. | |
