Legs will-last more than twice as long, less maintenance and take a lot less power to run and legs give you advantage to fill multiple bins. Legs use a rubber belt that never really touches anything but the upper and lower pulleys. Double runs use a chain so steel on steel and paddles are always touching something. So double runs have a place, but are not a leg. JD, we do experience significantly higher fines using a pair of double runs vs the augers they replaced. I know, sounds counterintuitive, and opposite results from what we were counting on. But watch the bottom sprocket as it goes around and it just churns the kernels into ground feed. I think the 6” Sukup double run filling the dryer is even worse than the bigger Master Mover filling wet bin. Fines are definitely an issue for us that require extra monitoring we just don’t have at our other binsite that is all augers. Disappointed in that aspect for sure.
